Genus Anemonia

Description
Actiniidae with the column divided into scapus and narrow capitulum, with a parapet and shallow fosse. Scapus lacking verrucae, inconspicuous acrorhagi present on the parapet. Sphincter weak and diffuse. Tentacles long, usually irregularly arranged, rarely retracted.

Type-species: Anemonia viridis (Forskal, 1775)
