Description
Clavulariidae with colonies forming creeping networks or encrusting membranous expansions. Stolon and anthosteles containing a dense layer of sclerites and covered with thin, horny periderm; sclerites of anthocodia of variable extent. Sclerites consisting of irregular flattened double clubs, fused crosses, and various irregular small forms; warty spindles, such as occur in the related genus Clavularia, are absent.

Type species: Sarcodictyon roseum (Philippi, 1842)
