Description
Hormathiidae with very wide base which is modified to wrap around a gastropod shell inhabited by a hermit crab and capable of secreting a chitinous membrane to extend the capacity of the shell. Column smooth with numerous, often elevated cinclides. Mesenteries more numerous distally than proximally, 12 pairs are perfect and sterile.
