Description
Edwardsiidae with the column differentiated into scapus and scapulus; scapus bearing periderm but lacking nemathybomes, its aboral end rounded but not differentiated into a physa. Ciliated tracts of filaments short, not discontinuous. Members of this genus do not burrow but inhabit rocky substrata.
Type-species: Edwardsiella carnea (Gosse, 1856)
