Genus Sagartia

Description
Sagartiidae with the column not differentiated into regions and lacking true periderm. Cinclides are present on the distal part of the column and near the limbus. Suckers, appearing as pale rounded spots, are also present on the column, being best developed on its distal part. Mesenteries are about equal in number proximally and distally; tentacles up to about 200 in number. Catch-tentacles may occur in either British species.
