Description
Actiniidae with the column not divided into regions and lacking verrucae and acrorhagi. Sphincter weak and diffuse. Tentacles deciduous; each tentacle having a small sphincter muscle at its base, which can pinch off the tentacle (autotomy) and seal the resulting aperture.
Type-species: Bolocera tuediae (Johnston, 1832)
