Description
Halcampidae with elongated column which is divided fairly distinctly into physa, scapus, and capitulum. Physa and lower part of scapus with adhesive papillae, cinclides present in physa. A weak, single mesogloeal sphincter is present in the capitular region which also bears a weak layer of ectodermal longitudinal muscle. Macrocnemes 8-12 in number, fertile, with filaments and strong circumscript-diffuse retractor muscles, microcnemes 8 or more, not extending to the disc. Tentacles short or moderate, fewer in number than the mesenteries.
